The lecture was illustrated by a magnificent set of dissolving views of the Portsmouth Band of Hope and Abstainers' Union, under the management of Mr. Hingston. The meeting was opened by prayer and a brief address by the Rev. T. W. Medhurst, who expressed his sympathy with the Band of Hope Union movement.”
