DOEL, Reverend A. (fl. 1870s) – lecturer
Greasley Sunday School Union – organiser
“Greasley Sunday School - The first of a series of winter evening lectures under the auspices of this union was delivered on Wednesday evening November 25th, in the Congregational schoolroom, Eastwood, by the Rev. A. Doel, Ilkeston: Subject - 'Lamps, Lanterns, and Candles. There was good company present, including a number of young people. The chair was taken by Mr. Weston, the president of the union. The lecture was made doubly interesting by being accompanied with illustrations, which served the purpose of impressing more forcibly on the minds of the people the very important practical lessons put forth by the lecturer.”
