PATERSON, Robert (fl. 1900s) – lecturer
“Lime-Light Lecture - With the view of (unlesbar) the Travelling Missionary Fund, Mr. Robert Paterson, head-master of John Street Public School, Bridgeton, delivered his new lecture, entitled 'To the Land of the Southern Cross' in the Christian Institute, on Friday, 30th January. The lecture, which was amost interesting and instructive one, was much enjoyed, but it was a matter of regret (unlesbar), on account of the state of the lecturer's health, his voice rather broke down near the close of the meetings, which prevented him giving an account of Sabbath School and other Christian work in the places he visited. Mr. John Ingram, in his usual genial manner, presided and Mr. P. B. Bryce conveyed the warmest thanks of the meeting and of the Union to Mr. Paterson for his lecture, and for the held he had given on behlaf of the fund referred to.”
