“For Blessings Received - A successful mission has been recently held at St. Mary's Truro by Capt. Pritchard and Cadet Stubbing, of the Truro I Van. The Mission started on Sunday with a Celebration in the Cathedral at 7 o'clock. Services for Children were held each evening, followed by a Service of Intercession. Open-air service were held in various parts of the parish, the addresses being illuminated with the Lantern. Then followed a Service in the Mission Chapel. All the Services were well attended, and towards the close of the Mission, the church was overcrowded. Several having offered themselves for Confirmation. The Mission concluded with a torchlight Processionto the cathedral, headed by the Rev. Yoe Ward, Curate, Capt. Pritchard, Cadet Stubbing, and Workers. The Rector, the Rev. Canon Hassard, gave an address. There was a large congregation. Many received the Memorial cards in token of blessings received. We thank god for the great help we have received during the Mission, also for the valuable help rendered by sisters Hoole and Winnells, and the Sisters of the Epiphany. G.F.S.”
