G.W. Plasting, ‘Flashes From the Fight’ in Church Army gazette

“What are we doing? - The Annual Lectures for the Church Army Gazette took place in our Island of Guernsey, in three different parishes. Although the weather was much against us, they were very well attended. The Gazette Agents in St. Sampson's, Holy Trinity and St. Martin's , led by Mr. Tourtel, Gazette Secretary, worked very hard to make the event a success. The rectors of each parish spoke very highly of the work and at the close of our lectures we felt deeply inspired and encouraged. We entitled our lectures 'What the Church is doing for the Masses', illustrated with Lantern views. The proceeds will go into the Self-denial funds. G. W. Plasting, C.A.”
