“York, St. Paul's.-On Oct. 8 we held our first C.A. Harvest Thanksgiving Service in the Ash Street Mission Room. Plants were kindly lent for the occasion by one of our good friends, others gave flowers, fruit &c., for decorating purposes. At 6:30 we commenced our open-air meeting, and we bless God for sending us so much help. At 7 o'clock we went to our room, which was filled, and had a blessed time. The address was given by a gentleman who has recently returned from the Holy Land. Many were present who had not before attended since Capt. Bray came to York, and we trust they will continue to come. Last Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, lantern views were exhibited, illustrating 'The way to the Cross.' All the meetings were well attended, and especially the one on Thursday in our foundry district, where we believe God is working in the hearts of the people. For Capt. Bray.”
