CHESHIRE, Miss (fl. 1890s) – lecturer
“Peckham, St. Jude's.-We are about to close our summer campaign, and have already begun our winter work in good earnest. Miss Cheshire, from Headquarters, rendered is great service by giving a lecture, illustrated by magic-lantern views. Our hall was filled to its utmost capacity, and the superintendent of the Sunday-school has asked Miss Cheshire to repeat the lecture a little later on in the parochial hall, when the proceeds will be given to the work of the C.A. Last week we were encouraged to see the numbers attending our meetings. Our Vicar accompanied us in our outdoor procession, and preached for us last Sunday, upon which occasion one Brother made open profession of faith. After we had closed the prayer meeting, a Sister desired to be prayed for, so we entered into a second prayer-meeting, after which the Sister went home rejoicing in having found peace. Our Harvest-Festival is to be held on Oct. 8th. For E. Comer, Capt.”
