“Darwen. - Tuesday night last Captain Cox, Blackburn, gave us two magic-lantern services. The pictures were illustrative of 'Her Benny'. Both the earlier meeting for young people and the later one for adults were well attended. After evening service on Sunday we went to Holy Communion at our parish church, when nearly all the nineteen brothers and sisters recently enrolled were present. At the close the Vicar presented the red cord to four who have joined us in our work and worship, but were unable to be present at the enrolment service.”
