“'We were very glad to be able with the hearty co-operation of our vicar, and Mrs. Sealy and Lady Pearce, to be able to arrange two meetings in connection with the visit of Capt. Davey (Prison Missioner). We had a very large gathering in the Church House in the afternoon, when those who had been specially invited listened to Capt. Davey's address with great interest. (...) The ex-burglar's tools and photos of C.A. Work were viewed with much interest. In the evening we had a large gathering when Capt. Davey gave an account of his missions in convict prison, illustrated with limelight pictures. (...)”
