People linked to event

BROWN, Reverend B.W.  (c.1842- after 1911) – lecturer

Reference

“'A Preacher of Liberty': We had with us recently the Rev. B.W. Brown, coloured minister and his two little boys. The Rev. B. W. Brown, who has been a slave himself, gave us part of the well known story of 'Uncle Tom's Cabin' which was illustrated by lime-light lantern. The crowded congregations both on the Sunday and Monday nights enjoyed the lecture and the negro songs very much.”
