“On New Year's Day a tea and entertainment was held in the mission room and proved one of the greatest successes we have had in that part of the parish. The room was crowded for the lantern entertainment which followed, the slides illustrating a tour round the Isle of Wright. (...) Capt. Bramham, who has been working here since September, has been holding lantern services in two parts of the parish each week. These have been very well attended (...).”
