HUNT, Captain (fl. 1900s) – lecturer
Church Army Lincoln II Van – organiser
“'Springing Up – Above Ground': We have been specially favoured by a double visit of the Lincoln II Van, and a double mission conducted by Capt. Hunt, assisted by Bro. Forward. The Van first visited us on October 11th, until the 21st and came again on Nov. 13th, until the 22nd. Each night, the services & etc. were attended by an increasingly large congregation, many also attending the lecture on C.A. Work, which opened the eyes of most who were present to the great and varied work of the Church Army. Many also came to hear about the good old 'Torn Bible', which story was well received with much interest and feeling. The 'Life of Joseph' was also given, illustrated by lantern slides, and Capt. Hunt drowe out for us many lessons from that life, but best were all the pictures of the Life of our Saviour – His Parables, Miracles and His Passion and Death for us – so vividly set before us by the pictures and by Capt. Hunt's addresses.”
