“'In the Congress City': We lately held our Harvest Festival in the Mission Room. (...) On the following Tuesday the C.A. Thanksgiving Tea took place, when upwards of eighty sat down to an excellent repast (...). Following the tea came the Lantern Service 'Waiting at the door'. The offertories and proceeds of the tea were given to the Mission Fund; a substantial sum being raised.”
