“'Under the Smoke Roof': On Monday a lantern service was held in our mission room when Capt. Hanson gave an address on 'The Prodigal Son'. On the Tuesday evening the lantern was taken in the open-air and a large crowd gathered round to listen to the address wich was given by Capt. Hanson. Such services are very helpful to the poor people in our slums, but the workers being few it is very trying to an evangelist to be constantly in the open air. (...)”
