“'Under the Limes': (...) On Thursday last we re-commenced our temperance work (...); lighting up the trees with Chinese lanterns, and having out our piano and choir, and a limelight service. Capt. Horrobin gave a most helpful address on 'Peace on the Home' and showed some splendid 'Winged Arrows' from Headquarters by limelight. It was a splendid meeting, 250 adults being counted, mostly men, among whom Persians, Sweeds and Chinese figured. (...)”
