“'A War Story': We have just had the pleasure of a visit from Capt. Newton, the Pioneer Missioner, and we are greatly indepted to him for his lecture on C.A. Work. Commencing the lecture with some wit and humour he sketched the early work of the C.A., but as he proceded the reality of the lives of the submerged and the fallen lay heavy on our hearts, and humour gave way to serious and prayerful thought. When speaking of the Labour Homes, we felt that we too must throw aside the rags and tatters of this world before we could enter the Home above. Before bringing the lecture to a close, Capt.
