“'A Corps On Tour': A very interesting tour of lantern services extending over a fortnight has been carried out by Capt. Reid, in connection with the Aughton Cotton Lane Mission Room. The places visited included Aughton, Halsall, Scarisbrick, Bickerstaffe, Latham and Skelmersdale. The subjects dealt with were 'The Life of Our Lord' and the 'Prodigal Son'. The attendance at the services in each place was very good and the portion of Holy Scripture most feelingly and earnestly illustrated by Capt. Reid could not fail to touch the hearts of the hearers. (...)”
