“'Our Second Anniversary': (...) Now for about a fortnight our captain and our members have been working very hard in painting and whitewashing our mission room (...). We wanted it to be nice for our anniversary, which we began on Saturday, by a public tea, out hall being so small we had to limit the tickets to 190. (...) At 7.30 we had a short programme fo songs ans recitations, after that a lantern service. While the lantern was getting ready our vicar made a few remarks on the C.A. Work done by our captain and his workers (...). The pictures were shown by our captainand our vicar explained them with much feeling and I beleve that many of tha night will take the step which leads to Jesus(...).”
