WOLSTENHOLME, Captain E. (fl. 1890s-1900s) – lecturer
“Capt. Wolstenhome has lately finished a thirteen days' mission. The meetings were held in the mission room every night, and were fairly well attended. Capt. Wolstenhome did not spare himself in any way, and by open-air lantern lectures, house to house visitation, distribution of bills, etc. the meetings were well advertised, with the result that many were induced to come. (...) During the mission the captain also spoke to the children in Sunday school, at the Band of Hope, mothers, district visitors' meetings, and the new bible class; and before leaving gave a lantern lecture (...) explaining to a large and interested audience the working of different departments of the Church Army. ”
