CHAPMAN, Captain (fl. 1890s-1900s) – lecturer
“'Work Worth Doing': Works under our energetic captian is bein carried on with renewed vigor. The services in the Parish Room are better attended than they were in the Hall, and the lantern addresses on the life of our Lord seem to be much appreciated. The coffee suppers and entertainments on Saturday evenings attract good numbers and our best thanks go due to Miss Bowmer, the Temperance Band, and to Capt. and Mrs. Chapman for the trouble they have taken in getting up the programmes.”
