“'Making the Van Comfortable': The C. A. Canterbury I. Van visited this village for three weeks. Capt. Halliwell conducted the mission (...). Hearty services were held every night in the Board School-room and were well attended at all times, somtimes to over-crowding. The lantern lectures were much appreciated by everyone. The boos sold in the Van realized the sum of ₤7 (The Torn Bible being quite a favourite).(...).”
