“The Church Army Van No. III for the Diocese of Chichester, under the charge of Capt. Richardson and his assistant, visited Crawley Down, from Sept. 30th to Oct. 14th. The Van was stationed in the play-ground of the National Schools, where services were held every evening during the week at 7.30. On two Sunday evenings very effective addresses were given in chruch by Capt. A. Richardson. The mission services were admirably illustrated by an excellent magic lantern, and the attendance each night grew more and more satisfactory. (...).”
