“'The Island Parish': (...). The work amongst the children at our Band of Hope and Sunday School has been especially encouraging. Unlike most Sunday Schools, ours has its lessons taught in two languages, Gaelic and English. (...) Altogther we number about 30 which is considered to be a good for so small a village. The other afternoon, we gave them tea, but being strangers to such a luxury it was some time, before we could induce them to eat. (...) After tea, the story of 'Little Minnie' was read to them, illustrated by an acetylene lantern, which was very much enjoyed. So far, open-air services have been encouraging. (...)”
