“' A Thousand and a Half Faces': A second visit of the Van was welcomed by this little Hampshire village. Capt. Cox and his helpers, Capt. Haynes and Bro. Robbinson, camer for a fortnight. (...) We had 22 meetings in all, and saw nearly 1600 faces, during the times of meeting and service. There were general meetings, lantern services, meetings for men, women, lads and children. (...) All were very well attended and were full of interest. (...). The lantern service on 'The Passion' was most impressive. The room, crowded in a considerable part with lads and young men, was hushed and reverent, and at the end, all moved quietly away, as those who had felt and felt still, the sadness of what they had seen and done.
