“'A Pile of Pence': The other night, during a Lantern Service, a table and two cheese boxes had to be used for a Lantern Stand. Now we have no room for cheese boxes, but just enough room for the Lantern Stand, which cost 30s. The Captain thinks if some kind person would send along the 30s, he would have no need to beg. (...) Please send all donations to Capt. J. Crook (Lichfield II Van) c/o Capt. Prior, 130, Edgeware Road, London, W.”
