HANKS, Reverend G.M. (fl. 1900s) – lecturer
“'Following John the Baptist': We are glad to report times of refreshing at our lantern service held every Sunday evening in the girl's school. It meets a real need of the parish; all are welcome who are not regular churchgoers, however poor, there is no charge or collection. Mothers who are unable to to leave the children get over the difficulty by bringing them to the lanten service, many passers by are got in by our C.A. Nurse and helpers. The pictures interest the children, the mothers hear the gospel message and join in the song of praise. The Rev. G.M. Hanks, our curate, is just the man for the people we have in the audience. In a homely and pointed manner he is taking us step by step through the life of Christ. (...)”
