“'Pictures in the Moon': Cyclists on the Bidston road during the past week have had a pleasant surprise as well as an enjoyable evening ride. The missioners of Church Army, Lieut. Blake and Bro. Jauncey, had a happy inspiration when they decided to hold their meeting in the open-air. To see everything around bursting into fresh life while we listened to the 'Old, old story', was in itself enough to make one realise that indeed there is a new life for all. The passers-by and cyclist seemed at first attracted by the novelty of the scene (an open-air magic lantern). One of the objects taken was the crucifixion, which must at all times be prominent picture (...). These series of illustrated Bible stories have been most enjoyable, the singing most hearty (...)”
