“'Morning, noon, and night.' Stone, near Aylesbury. - The Van after leaving the hamlet of Bishopstone, come on here, and remained a fortnight. Lantern and other services were held in the parish reading room on several afternoons at hours suitable for women and for the school children, and on almost avery evening, including both Sundays, for all comers. The addresses of Capt. Williams, were marked by great earnestness and clearness, and were listened to by increasing numbers. His afternoon lantern lecture on the work of the Church Army was especially useful as giving information to many present from Stone and the neighbourhood, who knew but little of its extent and variety. On the whole, his labours for the spiritual good of the peple, ably assisted by Brother Kilford's occasional address and house to house visiting, and his instruction of the children will, I sincerely hope, leave permanent results.
