“'The reserves called out!' Elvaston. - The Southwell Church Army No. I. Van has been in this parish. Services were held every evening, and a special service in connection with the temperance society o the parish was held on Wednesday, the lantern being used. Large crowds inspected the travelling home of the missioners, Capt. Whitehead and Cadet Bywater. All the Church Army GAZETTES were sold out, and this silent aide de camp will do much to further the work of the missioners. The service were all crowded with attentive and appreciative congreations, and 'The Maxims' of the Church Army brought home to the people the Church's work amongst al classes. A farewell lantern service was held at the schoolroom at Elvaston, on Saturday, and all parishioners much appreciate the intention of the Rev. Charles Prodgers to ask Southwell No. I.
