“'All the Water in the sea couldn't put it out.' Troedrhiwfuwch, South Wales. - The C.A. Van 'Llandraff' has just paid us a visit, with Captain Owens and Brothers Lowman and Price. The services were packed to the doors every night. The lantern services were the chief attraction; people came for miles both to see and hear about God's love to mankind. May the good seed which has been sown bring forth fruit in due time. On Thursday we had the Holy Communion at 5.30 a.m., for the colliers to come before going to work. We felt greatly blessed by this service, and all who came. The fire brigade in the adjoining parish were asking where the fire was, when tey heard the tolling of the bell, but were told that the whole water in teh sea could not put it out, because it was the fire of the Holy Spirit. They were running about in all directions. The addresses which were delivered were full of Church teaching and spiritual awakening. We shall never foret the kind people of Troedrhiwfuwch. We have also visited Sodom and Gomorrah, but we thank God, instead of brimstone from heaven, we had the Holy Spirit of Ggod for our helper. May many souls be brought into the fold, to be safe from the storm. H.G. Lowman, for Capt. Owen.”
