On Thursday evenings we have had lantern lectures on the lives of Christ, Daniel, St. Peter, St. Paul, and other Bible subjects. This holy study is a great blessing to our souls. Our vicar has come to the Tursday services.At Holy Communion aver thirty have partakten of the sacred feast. During the summer months we are having lantern services in the open-air when all sorts and conditions of men, women and children gather round to hear the gospel preached. People who never come to our services are thus brought in touch with the Word of Life. On Saturday, the choir (which is a great help to the work) had a trip to Sandal, breaking our journay at Wakefield in order to visit the Cathedral and principal places of interest. Our organist's mother and friends prepared the tea which, being a beatiful day, we had in the open air; after tea we had an open air entertainment: singing, reciting, speaking, etc.; by request we sang 'Lead kindly light,' which brought the happy day to a close.
