“'News from TAFFYLAND.' Parish of Llanfabon, South Wales. The 'Llandaff' Diocesan Van, with Capt Owen J. Owen and Bro. Lowman in charge, visited this parish for a week, on Monday, April 11. The missioners opened their campaign at Nelson, where they held an open-air service on the village squares, where hundreds came to listen, followed by lantern lectures at the national schoolroom. The addresses, which were characterised by great earnestness, were highly calculated, not only to rouse the careless and irreligious, but also to edify and strengthen the faithful. I have pleasure in adding that the evangelists are very earnest and worthy young men, whose services were highly valued, and should they pay us a visit at some future time, I can promise them a welcome. They go from here to ST. Cynon's, another district in my parish, where, I feel sure, equal success will attend their efforts. Dr. Leigh, Rector.”
