“'What have you promised?' Kington, Herefordshire. - Evangelistic work was introduced into our midst over seven yaers ago, and continues to be carried on with vigour and enterprise. On March 22, at the mission room, the mission choir rendered a Service of Song, entitled, 'keeping his promise', the story being effettively read by the vicar, while our evenagelist, Capt. Whitford, gave the illsutrations with lantern views, which were very interesting; our room was crowded, and the vicar warmly congratulated Capt. Whitford and the choir on the success of their effords. After paying expenses the balance for the C.A. funds was £2 4s. 6d. MAy this simple story lead many to think of their baptismal promises, which, if rightly understood and carried out, lead oward, upward, heavenward. E.G., for CApt. E.W. Whitford.”
