“'Plain speeking with a vengeance.' - Atherington. - I feel very grateful, for Capt. Narbett amd Cadet Kirby conducted the services nicely and reverently. The addresses have been both deeply spiritual and practical. Two of the services seem to me to demand special mention, viz., the lantern service on the 'Passion,' and the service for men only on Sunday afternoon. The evangelist's address at this service was admirable (subject 'Purity'). It was plain speaking with a vengeance, but very reverent. The attendance during the week was most encouraging, and on several occasions aver-taxed the capacity of the national schoolroom. On Sunday evening the room could not hold the people, so I took upon myself the responsibility of taking them to the church, where an address was given from the latern. Most of the servicesshould, I think, be held in the church. The missioners vsited the people in their homes, and treated the children to a lantern story, 'The Torn BIble'. I hope we shall have another visit, bit it should not be for less than a fortnight. W.W. Arthur, Rector.”
