WATERFIELD, Mr (fl. 1890s) – lecturer
“'BEGUN, CONTINUED, AND - ' Camden Town, St. Thomas'. - When the C.A. Pioneer Mission left this parish in October last, the work continued by some of those attending the Services. These Services have been attended by a goodly number of people who have met every Friday evening for praise and prayer. On Friday evening, Jan. 20, we held our first Mission Tea, to which 97 sat down. During the time that the hall was being cleared of the tables, etc., those present went into church. A few hymns were sung and few prayers said by our Curate (Rev. S. A. T. Hawe). The people having returned to the Mission Hall, an instructive Address, illustrated with Lantern Views, was given by Mr. Waterfield on 'Queensland,' which was followed by a story entitled, 'Poor Mike,' the story being effectively read by Capt. Mullholland. [...] A. Harford, Hon. Sec.”
