“A STIRRING VISIT Elsworth, Cambs. - The Church Army Van, in charge of Capt. Parker, with Brothers Cowley and Everest, visited this village for three weeks. Lantern Lectures were given in the Schoolroom, Children's Services were held, and Open-air Services in the playground on the Sundays during their stay. The Lectures and Services were attended by numerous and attentive audiences, evidently anxious to hear and give heed to the words of God's message delivered by His earnest workers. Though the work of the harvest prevented some from attending who might otherwise have been present, it is fervently hoped and believed that seed was sown in many hearts which will spring up, grow, and flourish, and bear good fruit to God's honour and glory. Many hearts were moved by God's Holy Spirit; and the last service was of a most earnest and fervent chrachter, and many took from the Captain the memorial cards of benefit received and ofgood resolutions formed for the future. God grant that the undoubted received from the viit of the Van may be of everlasting benefit to manyleading to eternal life. ”
