“THEY SHALL GO FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH Upper Parkstone. - On Sunday, Sept. 5, Capt. Newton, with the assistance of a few Christian friends, commenced Mission Services at St. John's Hall. Services were held each evening during the week, together with a threepenny tea on the Wednesday. Praise God since then the work has gone on gaining stregth day by day. On Sept. 14, Capt. Newton gave a Lantern Lecture on the work and aims of the Church Army. A Sunday school of from 50 to 60 children has been formed. [...] J.N.R., for Capt. Newton.”
