“FIRING AWAY Oswaldtwistle, St. Andrew's Mission-Room. - It is with grateful hearts we send forth another report from this part of the vineyard. We have had a visit from the C.A. Van, in care of Capt. Clark and his Cadet, two very earnest workers for God. We had a very interesting Lantern Service indoors, the pictures thrown upon the sheet illustrated the beautiful story, 'Driven from home.' On the Sunday, Capt. Clark have two heart-stirring addresses. In the morning he spoke upon 'The rich man and Lazarus,' and at night on 'The love of God.' On Monday night we had a Lantern Service in the open-air - right in the centre of the town. Capt. Dawber had charge of the lantern, while Capt. Clark fired away at the great crowd of people, who, no doubt, wondered whatever the world was coming to. At Tuesday night's Meeting three hands were raised, showing a desire to serve God.
