“THE MEN WERE THERE Keresley, near Coventry. - The 'Worcester' III. Mission Van arrived in this village lately, in charge of Captain Dearden. Open-air Services were held at the Van, which was situated in the Recreation Ground. These were preceded by Lantern Services, which were held in the 'upperroom' (Schoolroom). We were greatly indebted to the Schoolmaster for the use of this room, inasmuch as his house is underneath. One special feature of the Mission was the way in which the men of the village attended the Services, many of them applying for Memorial Cards at the close. During the stay of the Van here, three Services were held in Radford School (by request), conducted by the Missioners, who received every kindness at the hands of the villagers. [...]”
