“FROM SPARK TO FLAME Ilkeston. - In connection with the first anniversary of the opening of our Mission Hall, and the sixth anniversary of the C.A. in this parish, a Sale of Work was held on Feb. 2 and 3, which was opened by the Rural Dean's wife. […] On Saturday, Feb. 5, a good number sat down to a substantial Ham Tea; afterwards, at 8 p.m., a Lantern Service was given by our Captain, entitled, 'Given in Charge.' [...] A. C., for Capt. Bell.”
