“There's someone overhead: On Wednesday, Nov. 17, Capt. King, of the 'Osford' Diocesan Mission Van, kindly gave a Lantern Lecture, illustrating the well-known Story - 'A peep behind the scenes.' The old Schoolroom was packed, everyone pleased to see the Captain again, having remembered his visit at the beginning of this year, when the Van was in the village for a week. The Captain spoke earnestly upon 'Life.' We should remember that God was overhead; if we did, our life would be more holy and righteous. The Vicar presided. The amount taken at the door (one penny each) was 9s., which was handed to Capt. King, to help forward C.A. work, which God is greatly blessing.”
