“Things are beginning to look up: A Public Meetings was held in the school to hear a lecture on the 'Church Army Social and Spiritual,' illustrated by lime-light views. Several of the Clergy were present, and expressed themselves very pleased with what they had learned of the good work being done by the Society. A fair number of people representation the different parishes were also present, and were supplied with specimen copies of the Gazette. After paying all expenses we were enabled (through the kindness of the Rector) to send a thank offering to Headquarters of 1p 8s. [...]”
