DAVEY, Captain William R. (1867-1941) – lecturer
Church Army Van (unspecified) – organiser
“How to keep it bright and attractive: By the kind invitation of the Vicar, we have been enabled to have a Ten Day´s' Mission, conducted by Capt. Davey. During the ten days we were able to have four Services for children, and Meetings for adults, with the Limelight, representing scenes in the Life of Christ, and other Services. The Meetings were all well attended, and many, we believe, have made a definite stand for God, and we feel sure that Capt. Davey's visit among us will long be remembered by all with whom he came in contact. We are now pressing on towards our winter work, when we hope to have a Lantern Service every week, and so always keep the Mission at St. Andrew's bright and attractive to those who know not God. Our thanks are also due to Capt. Stevens and others who have helped us. ”
