JONES, Nurse (fl. 1890s) – lecturer
REEVES, Nurse (fl. 1890s) – lecturer
“'If she only knew': We indeed did feel the Lord was with us on Friday evening, Jan. 29, when our usual Scripture Union Meeting was held in the Girls' Schoolroom. In the absence of our Curate, Nurse Jones, and Nurse Reeves, of Chichester, took the meeting. The subject, 'The Life of Christ,' with lantern slides, was much enjoyed, and we trust many were cheered by our Nurses' words, spoken with tender entreaty, that we would remember that the Lord is with us always. A solo given by Nurse Reeves, 'Have you any room for Jesus?' made many anxious to give Him more room; and we trust her words may never be forgotten, and that this may not be the last Meeting when we shall have among us C.A. workers. We heartily thank Miss Cheshire for kindly lending this slides , and we feel, could she know how they were appreciated by grown-up people, as well as children, she would feel amply repaid for the trouble she must take to send them. We pray that God will bless all C.A. work, and that it may continue here.”
