“'A Prize for All': (...) On Good Friday a Lantern Service was given in St. John's Church with an address by the Curate. The church was crowded and a deep impression was, we believe, made. On Easter Monday, the Officers joined with the members of the C.E.T.S in the Church End's Schoolroom. Tea was provided, and afterwards a touching story entitled 'Little Minnie'was read by the Captain, illustrated with lantern views. Throughout their stay here the Lantern Services have attracted large numbers of people. On the Monday evening in the last weeka Service in the open-air, with the lantern sheet just outside the van, drew together quite a crowd, who listened attentively to the Captian's earnest words on the 'Life of Christ'.”

Notes
The lecturer was the curate of the local church.
