Church Army Van (unspecified) – organiser
“GLADDENED AND HELPED Twycross, Leicestershire. - This village has been recently gladdened and helped by a 12 days' visit (Dec. 6 to 18) from a Church Army Van, accompanied by Capt. J. W. Wood and Lieut. Atkinson. Crowded Meetings were held in the Schoolroom every evening, at which Lantern Lectures were given by the Captain. During the visit there were special Meetings for men, women, and children; and on Monday Capt. Wood lectured on the varius branches of the work of the Church Army. Much interest was aroused, and a donation of 10s. and collections to the amount of ₤2 18s. 3d. have been forwarded to Headquarters. It is hoped that the impression made on those who attended the Meetings will be lasting. Vicar.”
