“'Come Again soon: The Hereford No. II Church Army Van in charge of Capt. W. Clegg and Cadet J. Weeder, conducted a Fortnight's Mission at Putley. The Services were held in C.E. Schools each evening except Saturday, ans consisted of Mission and Lantern Services, and in spite of the very unfavourable weather they were very well attended, especially the Lantern and Sunday Evening Services. The Addresses given by the Captain were most earnest and encouraging. The Lantern Pictures were exceedingly good and were much enjoyed by the people. (...)”
