“The Giant of Indifference. Worcester Van. – In the village of Solihull this giant has many strongholds, but the visit of the C.A. Van, under Capt. J.W.Wood, seemed to bring God’s presence manifestly in our midst, and several of these strongholds have been compelled, by the power of the Spirit, to give way before Him. It has indeed been a blessed time foa all of us, and the Captain has certainly been the right man in the right place. His Lantern Lectures which are stirring Gospel Addresses will long be remembered by us; they have been the means of leading so many to the Lord. May He keep us faithfull and make us witnesses to others of what we have seen and heard. On the last day of the Mission we had a real, good C.A. Tea in the Church House, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all. This was foloowed by a Meeting, presided ober by the Rector, who said how much he was in sympathy with the work, exhorting all those who had received blessings to be especially watchful to let their words and lives go together, and that he and all would be glad to welcome their friend (the Captain) amongst them again. Then followed Addresses from Captains and Nurses from surrounding districts, and after the distribution of cards, the singing of the Doxology brought this joyful meeting to close. In conclusion we would say, 'God bless Capt. Wood, Lieut. Mills and Cadet Parker wherever they may go, and the work of the C.A.””
