LEECH, Reverend A.C.  (fl. 1890s) – lecturer

Reference

“In Spite of Prophets. Norwich, St. Peter’s, Permountergate. – Not with standing the adverse verdict of the prophets, so called, who allways look at the black site of things, and allways know that such and such a work will never get on, our God has given us of Mountergate, faith enough to believe that He can do anything with His own work, and with His own workers if they will let Him. Not only in the inside meetings, but in house-to-house visiting and in the open-air, the great blessings of Almighty Godhas been realised om the blessed work of winning souls. We thank Him heartly for the loving and practical interst our Curate-in-Charge (Rev. A.C. Leech) takes in the C.A. Mission work of the parish. On Midsummer Day, June 24, about 63 friends sat down to a sumptnous Tea in the Mission Room. Rev. A.C. Leech said grace with us, and after tea we sang the thanksgiving. In the evening, by the aid of a Service of Song and some Lantern Slides, we heard about the trials and victories of 'Her Benny”. One dear old lady said it was 'Beau – tiful”. Rev. A.C. Leech gave us a short address, emphasizing the necessity of a greater personal interest, and more money help, if the C.A. is to become a part of the parichial michinery. He suggested that boxes should be kept in the home and colections made as for Foreign Missionary work. May God make us all willing to help in this good work. Mr. G. Blake most kindly and skilfully manipulated tha lAntern. May God keep us as we wre, deeply thankful, and may His blessing be with all those kind friends who gave us such substantious help, not only in money and kind, but also in hard work.”
