Reference

“Value your Church Privileges. Writtle, Essex. – We have just had a visit from the Church Army Van, which was much appreciated. Capt. Bishop and his fellow Officers came April 13, and stayed a fort night. They commenced their Mission with a Lantern Service, explaining Church Army work, also Lantern Services on Saturday, all well attended. We think the Church Army is doing a good work, which will, with God’s blessing, spread more and more. They have certainly made many of us at Writtle value more highly our Church privileges by their earnestness and good example. We shall be very pleasant at any time to see them amongst us again.”
